Villanova Baseball Summer Camps 2008

The Villanova Baseball Coaching Staff has announced two camps for ages 7-13 during the summer. The first camp of the summer is The Villanova Baseball Day Camp, beginning on June 16, 2008 and ending June 19, 2008. During this camp, players will be instructed on all facets of the game from hitting, infield and outfield play, baserunning (tarp sliding), and game play. Each day the camp will finish with a game with teams broken down by age group.

The second camp will be the Villanova Baseball Hitting Clinic, beginning on July 14, 2008 and ending on July 17, 2008. Campers will learn the fundamentals of hitting (stances, proper grip, swing mechanics, lower half drive, etc.). Each of the campers will get the opportunity to hit on the field each day and work with our hitting coach Chris Madonna.

The Baseball Coaches Video Library is the most complete set of On-Line video training tools that has ever been offered to any baseball coach, parent and player. This program will give everyone an exposure to a wide variety of skills, drills, resources, and the latest information available that will benefit the coach, the parent and ultimately the young athlete. Over 250 Videos to watch on-line.

The Coaches Video Library is specifically designed to develop the Volunteer, Amateur Youth Coach, and Parent who is teaching our youth for tomorrow’s game.

At the Coaches Video Library we are developing the Youth Amateur Coach by giving them the tools not only to compete but to help keep the athletes involved in the game by making their practice experience more enjoyable and most importantly to help keep our athletes healthy and free of injuries.

Volunteer coaches are often big of heart and short on expertise. By using the Coaches Video Library program coaches will create better athletes, a more exciting organized practice for their players allowing the players to have fun and more than likely enhance the numbers of enrollment for the game of baseball.
