Free College Baseball Recruiting Seminar
at PNC Park

SEMINAR: The Truth College BB Recruiting Seminar will be held at PNC Park on Feb 1st from 6:30pm to 9pm: free of charge. They are pleased to announce their one of a kind recruiting seminar for prospective college BB players. It will provide info for parents & layers in grades 9-12. Info to be discussed will include: College BB recruiting process; NCAA eligibility center including sliding scale- ACT or SAT & core curriculum; NCAA rules & regulations including official & unofficial visits & eligibility center; scholarship information including percentages & how many are available; roster limitations; how to best promote your son with letters, emails, videos & showcases. They will have a question/answer period in which they will not leave until all questions are answered.

The speakers for the seminar will be Tommy Atkinson & Dan Ninemire.

Below are their bios:

Tommy Atkinson is the newest addition to The Truth Baseball Development. Atkinson has 10 years experience as a college baseball coach. In 2009 Atkinson was an assistant coach at East Carolina Univ, a Division 1 school in Greenville, NC. ECU won the Conference USA regular season as well as the Greenville regional. He spent 9 years at Louisburg Jr College, the last 3 as head coach, where he assisted many players move on to the Division 1, 2 & 3 levels. From 2002-2004, Atkinson also served as an associate scout for the Pgh Pirates.

Dan Ninemire: True BB Development welcomes one of Western PA's most accomplished college recruiters to our baseball recruiting seminar. Dan has an excellent baseball background, most recently serving as an Assist BB Coach & Recruiting Coordinator at the Univ of Pittsburgh.  Ninemire helped the Panthers recruiting classes reach Top 25 rankings for 3 consecutive years.  Currently, Dan serves as an Associate Scout with the Seattle Mariners.  For more info, contact:

Greentree SportsPlex Baseball
& Softball Academy Training

The Greentree SportsPlex will hold 2 leagues over the next few months:

1 - Indoor Baseball League for ages 8U(coach pitch) - 12U

  • From March 27 - April 15th
  • League includes 5 games + 3 practices (1.5 hrs each)
  • This is a great way to get your team prepared and to get the season started in the first couple weeks of April while the weather is bad
  • Don't worry about in-house baseball conflicts. We will have a flexible schedule to work with

2 - Indoor Hitting League (4 vs. 4) in our batting cages

  • For ages 9U-17U from February 13th-March 27th
  • All games on Saturdays, 1 hr each game

Free Pitching Lessons

My name is John Pateras

I am offering "free pitching lessons" to anyone in the MLBA between the ages of 10 to 12 years of age.

My pitching philosophy comes from Tom House (ex major leaguer).  I have attended several of his pitching camps.

The 3 main areas of pitching emphasis are:

1. confidence

2. the mechanics of pitching

3. a sound baseball body
